From childhood moving my body and expressing myself felt like a natural thing to do. When I found yoga, it felt like I found myself.

In 2006 I attended my first class, it became part of my daily routine. By 2013 I chose to turn my passion into a career and took my first 200HR YTT in Calgary, Alberta. This quickly turned into my day job, by 2016 I had taken my 300HR Advanced YTT and I had taught in over 4 different countries and started teaching on retreats in Indonesia and Australia.

Since then I have started a family and very much believe my passion and journey with yoga now involves my family. We practice together, and I use all the tools and techniques I have learned in my yoga practice to help me navigate how to stay in balance with myself, my children and my husband.

I am so grateful for my practice, and everything that I have learned as I believe it has helped me un become who I thought I “should” be and become who I was meant to be. As well as become the wife and mother I am now by staying true to myself and who I am.

My other passions involve hiking, writing and getting to be a kid again with my gorgeous growing family. To be honest, I just love anything where I get to be barefoot or talking with the trees.

I have always had a passion for health and I believe a positive well-rounded outlook is a key to maintaining balance in mind, body, and spirit.

In 2006 I graduated with a Remedial Massage Therapy Diploma. I love doing massage but I started to feel restricted in the ways I could connect with people. In 2012 I received my 200 hr teacher training certification from Yandara Yoga in Mexico. I love that I can continue to empower a wider range of people through Yoga.  With the consistent results of incorporating movement, breath, and meditation into our daily lives truly show the power we have to heal ourselves.

In my own personal life having a consistent practice has made a significant difference. It not only keeps me injury free but also calm and grounded. It reminds me of my strength, and ability to overcome any challenge with grace.

Acro Yoga and Animal Flow movement have been fun additions to my practice. In January 2017 I completed my 80hr Acro Yoga Teacher Training with Vancity Acro in Vancouver. I just completed my Animal Flow Training in May 2018 in Calgary.

My other passion is getting out to nature be it at the top of a mountain or standing beside the ocean. I often kick off my shoes and try to truly connect to the Earth by hiking barefoot where I can.

The Living Yoga Institute 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) presents you the opportunity to become a certified yoga teacher while deeply enhancing your personal practice.  This YTT will give you an introduction into yoga practice and philosophy while learning other aspects and the skills you need to become the best version of you possible as you become a Yoga Teacher.

Core Yoga

Our Core is our center point. If we don’t have a strong core our whole practice can be thrown off. In Core, we explore not only the functional workings of our inner body but the philosophies behind our inner world as it relates to our outer world.

Foundation Yoga

You wouldn’t build your house without a Foundation. Why would you start a practice without knowing the Foundation of the Asana practice. We dive deep not only into the Foundation of our postures but the Foundation of Yoga.

Vinyasa Yoga

Ok, lets get moving! This fun flow is targeted towards getting the energy moving. Getting all the tense, tight places open so our body can function the way its meant to.
